Pitch N Hire + Microsoft Teams Integration

Yes. Pitch N Hire attaches Microsoft Teams links to interview events, so a remote interview is scheduled and sent out with its joining link in a single step. Teams is covered by the Outlook/Teams connection under Settings β†’ Integrations, which also brings your Microsoft mailbox and calendar into the applicant tracking system.

Remote interviews fail on logistics more often than on scheduling: the slot is agreed, the invite goes out, and the joining link is missing. This page covers where a Teams link is attached in Pitch N Hire, who receives it, and why it sometimes is not there.

How does Pitch N Hire use Microsoft Teams?

As the meeting layer on interview events. When you create an event in the Interview Calendar you can attach a Microsoft Teams link to it, so the interview and its joining details are one object rather than two things a coordinator has to keep together. Teams is not a separate card on the Integrations page β€” it is part of the Outlook/Teams Integration under Email and Calendars.

Where does the Teams link get added?

During event creation, not afterwards. In Communication β†’ Interview Calendar you click + Create Event, fill in the title, date, time and attendees, and add the Teams link as part of those details before saving. Attaching it at creation is what gets it onto the invite everyone receives.

Does the candidate get the meeting link automatically?

Yes, provided the link was attached before the event was saved. Both the recruiter and the candidate receive it with the invite, so there is no follow-up message to send and no risk of the candidate arriving without a way in. This is the single practical reason to add the link at creation time rather than editing it in later.

What else does the Outlook/Teams connection cover?

One Microsoft authorization covers three things: sending candidate email from your Outlook mailbox inside Pitch N Hire, syncing your Outlook calendar so interviews stay aligned across tools, and attaching Teams links to events. Connecting is a redirect to Microsoft to grant access, after which the card shows a Connected badge and the connected email address.

Why is a meeting link sometimes missing?

Because the link belongs to the event and is not generated after the fact. If an interview goes out without one, the link was not attached before the event was saved. Reopen the event, confirm a Microsoft Teams link is attached, and save again. It is worth checking the event rather than the integration β€” a missing link almost never means the Microsoft connection has dropped.

How to set it up

  1. 1 In Settings β†’ Integrations, find the Outlook/Teams Integration card under Email and Calendars and click Connect.
  2. 2 Confirm in the dialog β€” you will be redirected to authorize access β€” then sign in to Microsoft and grant access.
  3. 3 On return, the card shows a Connected badge along with the connected email address.
  4. 4 Open Communication β†’ Interview Calendar, click + Create Event, and attach a Microsoft Teams link while filling in the event details.

One platform, fewer integrations to maintain

FAQ

Microsoft Teams integration β€” FAQs

Do the recruiter and candidate both get the Teams link? +
Yes, if you attach it while creating the event. Both receive it with the invite, so no separate message is needed.
Is Teams connected separately from Outlook? +
No. Teams is part of the Outlook/Teams Integration card, so a single Microsoft authorization covers candidate email, calendar sync and Teams links on interview events.
The Teams link is missing from an interview β€” what happened? +
The link is attached to the event rather than generated later. Reopen the event, confirm a Microsoft Teams link was attached, and save it again.
Can our team also sign in to Pitch N Hire with Microsoft? +
Yes, though that is configured separately. Single Sign-On has an Allow Microsoft sign-in option letting your team sign in with their Microsoft work account on your mapped company domain.
What happens if I disconnect Outlook/Teams? +
You lose email and calendar features for that account until you reconnect. Use Disconnect on the card, and reconnect by authorizing with Microsoft again.
