Pitch N Hire + Zoom Integration

Yes. Pitch N Hire lets you attach a Zoom meeting link to an interview event, so every person invited receives the same joining details rather than a forwarded message that arrives late or reaches one panellist and not another. That matters most when an interview involves somebody outside your company: an external panellist, a client, or a candidate in another country.

Zoom tends to be the tool somebody else picked. A client asks for it, a contract interviewer already runs their day on it, or a candidate has never used anything else. This page is about the logistics that follow β€” one set of joining details for a mixed panel, links that survive a reschedule, and interviews that cross borders.

Why is Zoom often the meeting tool for an interview?

Because an interview panel is frequently not all from one company. A staffing agency runs the process while the client's own leaders do the interviewing. A startup brings in an advisor for a technical round. A candidate is currently employed somewhere that issues different software on their laptop. In each case the meeting tool is chosen by whoever is least flexible, and Zoom is often that answer. Attaching it to the event lets the process stay in the ATS regardless.

How do the panel and the candidate end up with identical joining details?

By putting the link on the interview event itself rather than sending it separately. When the joining details belong to the event, everybody invited holds one version of them, and there is no thread where an interviewer was left off or a candidate received an older link. The failure this prevents is mundane and expensive: a panel of senior people waiting in an empty room while the candidate sits somewhere else entirely.

What happens to the link when an interview is moved?

Reschedules are the normal case, not the exception, so treat the link as part of the booking rather than something you reissue each time. Keep the joining details on the event and a change of time carries them along, which is why editing the existing interview is safer than cancelling it and creating a replacement. If a moved interview goes out without a way in, check the event before you suspect the connection.

How do you run an interview across time zones?

The joining link is the easy half β€” it is identical wherever anybody opens it. The hard half is agreeing the hour, and the reliable habit is to confirm the slot in the candidate's own local time, in writing, before the invite goes out, then let the event carry the details. Offshore and cross-border hiring lives on that discipline, and a candidate who joins late has usually been failed by the confirmation, not the software.

Can an external interviewer join without a Pitch N Hire account?

Guest interviewers are the ordinary situation for agencies and for any team that borrows expertise for a round. Somebody can be invited to the meeting without being given a seat in your applicant tracking system, which keeps client contacts and outside advisors away from your candidate data while still letting them run the conversation. Whatever they observe still has to be written back into the record by someone who does have access.

How to set it up

  1. 1 Open the Integrations area of Settings in Pitch N Hire.
  2. 2 Select Zoom and sign in with the account that will host interview meetings.
  3. 3 When you book an interview, add the meeting link to the event before saving it, so everyone invited receives the same details.
  4. 4 Test with a colleague standing in as the candidate, then move that test to a different time and confirm the joining details travel with it.

FAQ

Zoom integration β€” FAQs

Do the candidate and every interviewer get the same link?
They do when the joining details are attached to the interview event rather than sent on afterwards. One event means one set of details, so a panellist added later is not working from a different message and the candidate is not chasing anybody for a way in.
Our client insists on Zoom β€” can we still run the process in Pitch N Hire?
That is the situation this suits. The meeting tool a client prefers does not have to dictate where your pipeline, notes and decisions live; you attach their preferred link to the interview and keep the record of the search in one place across every client you work with.
What if we use more than one meeting tool?
Most teams do, and the choice is made per interview rather than once for the whole company. Pick whichever tool the panel and candidate can actually open on the day and attach that link to the event; the interview record does not change depending on which one you used.
How do we handle a candidate in a different time zone?
Agree the slot in the candidate's local time and put that confirmation in writing before the invite goes out. The link itself needs no adjustment, since it opens the same meeting wherever somebody is, so the real risk in cross-border interviewing is a misread hour rather than the technology.
