Pitch N Hire + ZipRecruiter Integration

Yes. Pitch N Hire distributes roles to ZipRecruiter under your own employer account, and the applications it produces land in the same pipeline as every other source, recorded against ZipRecruiter. On a board this busy the work that matters happens before you publish: a precise title, the must-haves stated plainly, and a plan for reviewing applicants quickly.

Last updated

A busy general board changes the recruiter's problem from finding applicants to sorting them. The posting that reaches the most people is not automatically the one that fills the role, and a queue nobody reviews for a week costs you the candidates who applied first. This page covers ZipRecruiter as a distribution destination in Pitch N Hire, and how to run a role there without drowning in it.

01 In detail

When does a high-volume board earn its place on a role?

When the role has a large pool of qualified people who are actively looking, and a slow fill costs more than reviewing extra applications. Customer-facing work, operations, sales and many generalist positions fit that description. A narrow specialist search usually does not: the right people are few, rarely browsing, and better reached through a niche board, a referral or direct outreach. Volume only helps a role that can absorb it, so decide that before choosing the channel.

How do you stop a flood of applications burying the strongest candidates?

Decide what genuinely disqualifies someone before the role goes live, not after the first wave arrives. Write the real must-haves into the posting in plain language so people who lack them select themselves out, keep preferred extras clearly separate, and agree who reviews new applicants and how often. A queue checked daily turns volume into a shortlist; a queue checked weekly turns it into a backlog where the best early applicants have already accepted something else.

Why does the job title matter more on a large board?

Candidates find roles by searching, and they search in the words they use for the work, not the words your organisation uses internally. An inventive title or an internal grade code is invisible to someone typing the ordinary name for the job. Use the title a candidate would recognise, include seniority where it helps rather than hurts, and save company-specific framing for the description, where it can be explained instead of guessed at.

What should you measure after the first week?

Not the application count on its own, which rewards reach rather than fit. Because each application in Pitch N Hire carries its source, you can compare how many ZipRecruiter applicants reached a shortlist, an interview and an offer against every other channel on the same role. A board that produces many applications and few interviews is telling you something about the posting or the audience, and that is far cheaper to learn in week one than at the end of a search.

When should a role come off ZipRecruiter?

When it has done its job, or has stopped doing one. Take the listing down once the role is filled so applicants are not left waiting on a position that no longer exists, and consider doing it earlier if the shortlist is already strong enough to decide from. If a week of steady volume has produced nobody worth interviewing, change the posting before paying for more of the same audience; the words usually need fixing before the channel does.

02 Setup

How to set it up

  1. Open Settings in Pitch N Hire and go to the Integrations page.
  2. Choose ZipRecruiter and connect the employer account your organisation posts from.
  3. Before publishing, check that the title uses the plain name for the job and the must-have requirements are stated clearly.
  4. Publish, then review new ZipRecruiter applicants on a fixed daily rhythm so the earliest strong applicants are not left waiting.

FAQ

ZipRecruiter integration β€” FAQs

Do I need my own ZipRecruiter employer account?
Yes. The role is advertised under your organisation's own employer account, and ZipRecruiter decides what that account includes. Pitch N Hire provides the role and receives the applications, so the relationship with the board stays yours. Whether it is enabled for your workspace can depend on your Pitch N Hire plan, which the Integrations page in Settings will show.
Where do ZipRecruiter applications show up?
In the pipeline for the role, alongside applications from your careers page and every other board, with ZipRecruiter recorded as the source. Nobody needs to watch a separate inbox to find them.
Will a busy board overwhelm a small hiring team?
It can, if the posting is vague and nobody owns the queue. State the must-haves plainly, agree a daily review slot, and take the listing down once you have enough strong candidates to decide from. Volume is manageable when it is expected.
Should ZipRecruiter be the only board on a role?
Usually not. Compare it with your other sources on the same role using the recorded source of each applicant, and keep whichever channels produce interviews rather than whichever produce the most applications.
